WHO WE SUPPORT

The Palumbo’s brothers Peter, Anthony, and Donald opened Palumbo’s Automotive on April 20th,1987 with a simple vision: to offer Guilford residents quality automotive maintenance and repair services and to contribute to the fabric of the community in which they would live, work or play.

From that point on, everyone here at Palumbo’s Automotive has realized how lucky we are to be in a place like Guilford, CT. and to have generations of its residents as our customer base. Therefore, nothing gives us more pleasure than giving back to this community. These are just a few of the organizations we like to support.

Community Car Washes 

On Saturday and Sundays between March and November Palumbo’s opens our lot to members of a wide variety of community groups from sports teams to religious organizations to arts and theater groups utilize our parking lot, water, and cleaning supplies to raise much-needed funds via car washes. To date over $500,000 has been raised for local organizations through the car wash initiative. If your group or team would like to have a carwash, please contact our front office staff to book a weekend.

Guilford Food Bank

There are so many people, even here in Guilford, who need fresh food and who are food insecure. The Guilford Food Bank, a member of the CT Food Bank, is staffed by 40 volunteers and receives support from the town Department of Social Services, Guilford Interfaith Volunteers, and the CT Food Bank. Located at 45 Stone House Lane, the Food Bank is committed to helping food-insecure families in Guilford get adequate nutrition and help with dignity and privacy.

Diaper Drive

Diapers are the number one need of many families with children from newborns to toddlers. We collect the diapers in our lobby and make sure they get to the right organizations.



Arts, Theater, and Community Organizations

We view both the visual as well as performing arts as very important in our community. As well as other big events like the Agricultural Fair or the Community Christmas Tree lighting. So, whenever we are approached by a Guilford Arts, Theater, or other community organization, we happily contribute via program advertising or other support.
